About Us

Girls Empowerment Mission was born from a place deep in my heart, a place fueled by my own experiences, a place where you had to be strong before you were ready. The experiences I had throughout life shaped me into who I am today, all the while teaching me resilience and compassion. So, creating Girls Empowerment Mission comes from a place of compassion for young girls, from lived experiences, healing, and determination. It comes from a place of understanding because I was once one of them.

Believing that every girl carries a spark — a brilliance that can change her life and her community when she is nurtured, believed in, and guided with compassion. Too many young girls face barriers they did not create: family instability, community violence, homelessness, academic struggles, or emotional wounds that go unnoticed. Girls-EM was founded to meet youth where they are and walk beside them as they rise.

Girls-EM is more than a program — it is a safe haven, a sisterhood, and a reminder that every girl deserves a chance to rise. My journey led me here so I could help guide them. Every day, I will be honored to walk beside them as they discover the power, confidence, and brilliance they have had inside all along.
